The water distribution system consists of two deep water wells, with one well located in the front section of the community and the second well located in the back section. Both wells are interconnected to the water distribution grid and each well is capable of supplying water throughout the community if one well becomes inoperative. There is emergency generator power at both locations in the event our community experiences a power outage.
Well Site No.1
Drilled and brought on-line in 2015, is located in the front section of Pinewood. This location consists of a 250GPM deep water well, a 100,000 gallon above-ground storage tank and three high pressure pumps. Each high pressure pump is capable of supplying250GPM. During normal operations, only one high pressure pump operates at a time. However, if the demand for water exceeds the capacity of one pump, a second pump and, if necessary, a third pump will come on line to assist in meeting the demand.
Well Site No. 2
Located in the back section of Pinewood, was drilled and brought on-line in 2010, well site no. 2 also has a capacity of 250GPM. In addition, there is a 100,000 gallon above-ground storage tank and two 250 GPM high pressure distribution pumps. These pumps operate in the same fashion as the front well site pumps.
Wastewater Treatment Facility
Our sewer treatment plant, constructed and brought on-line in 2010, is also located in the back section of Pinewood. It replaced the original plant that had been in operation since the Pinewood community was first developed in 1964. The wastewater plant also has emergency power in case of a power failure.
